Nice Thumbnail
February 6, 2009 7:59 am Mac OSRecently I have been dealing with images…. from work and from home.
At work, I wrote a function to convert and resize transparent gif image to png using Python Imaging. Some of the test code can be found in my previous blog.
At home, I have been playing with iPhoto to Facebook plugin. This plugin is cool!! It saves lots of my time to upload my picture directly from web browser. In iPhoto I can just create album, export my picture and tag faces on the picture to my friend list. And in Facebook, all I need is to approve the picture to be published. I have been uploading my picture… hopefully my friends will not get sick of it.
Today, I gave a link to my supervisor to download free Mac Apps. It has been quite sometimes I never browse for applications so I just had a look to see if there’re nice application to play with. Well, I encountered a cool Mac Apps to play with. It’s called Thumbscrew. This application help you to frame your picture with a nice view and save your picture as thumbnail. All you need is just drag your picture file or your folder to the application and PUFF, your thumbnail is ready for you. (Another good website is Softpedia for mac)
Below are the sample for the picture being converted
